I never contemplated that while I was mashing it into the tarmac. How thoughtless of me.

I just had my fromt bumper replaced last month because a buck hit me.
I was only going about 30mph, but he SPRINTED from the side right into my bumper.

He took off, so I don't know if it killed him or not. Thanks God for comprehensive insurance.

That wasn't my first deer claim. The wife hit one a couple years back .... much worse.

I am sure it came down eventually..it had to set a record for the most height obtained by a deer....long ways up good 30 feet.
I think it landed in the tree tops

well, since we're talking deers in treetops, it's gonna have to segue to my favorite Dave Barry quote, and further hijack the thread.

but that deer had some serious angular momentum going, I'll give it that.

sort of a deer frisbee. A deerbie.

What's amusing, is that I used to play frisbee golf quite regularly. Got pretty good at it too.
Bought all the special disks (terrible for playing catch, BTW) and even considered entering the Mazda Open in La Mirada, CA. $35,000.00 purse.

Have you seen the frisbee golf holes at the Bella Vista Park out here?
I've been meaning to dust off the old disks and try out the course.

Yup. Hate frisbee golf though, for two reasons, the second one primarily.

1. One of the things I do very poorly at, athletically, is throw a damn frisbee. Dunno whether to throw it right or lefty, both feel awkward, and neither go more than 10 feet before turning vertical and nose diving.

2. I went to college in the late 80's/early 90's. Ergo, during the hippie re=invention. And they all played frisbee golf. And I *hate* hippies.

q: how do you keep your money safe from a hippy?

a: put it under soap.

LOL

To your point #1;
One cool thing about frisbee golf is that on a long hole it is a good idea to deliberately throw the disk so that it rolls on the ground, not flying to the target through the air.

With a normal frisbee this is not usually successful. But with the right disk, it will roll straight and long.

They are smaller in diameter, thinner, heavier and most have a sharp edge as opposed to a flat edge. This makes them very poor fopr playing catch, but great for placing near a golf hole.
