A Test ... or... Contest... or a public service announcement
Seeing how many others and myself don't like voluminous cutting and pasting. I thought we could make a game out of this and provide a public service announcement for those who want to avoid these type of posts.

A couple of months ago I decided when I checked on new posts in subscribed threads that one way of avoiding running into expected cut and paste posts was to avoid checking on threads where certain posters made the last post.

Having done that I found that at times I would have several subscriptions in cue that would accumulate. Today I have 7 showing in the cue. I think I might have got up to 10 a couple of times.

So consider this my TSG Public Service Announcement and if you wish to attempt to beat my score then feel free to chime in. Or Not

If you care to whine then notice I have not so don't anybody go hating on me for doing this

I've actually done the same thing for a few years now. I know the posting habits of most of the people here, and if the last post name is on my 'hit list', then I just let it go.....I don't know how many I've had in my queue, but I'd imagine it would probably double your measly 10.....

I didn't know what copy and paste was until I joined TSG. But in the past four and a bit years I've managed to reduced my daily dose of valium from 10mg 4xdaily to 5mg 2xdaily

I can't keep up with any of the figures. But that may have to do with the rather rash and hasty use of the unsubscribe button.

....it's bad enough that I have to scroll down thru them on the main page of the forum, I am not about to have to do the same thing in my "subscribed" threads listing

Giving this one a bump

I did my TSG cache cleaning and clicked onto each of the offending posts so that my new threads subscribed to would be empty. Every one of them had exactly what I expected.

But good grief. Only 15 minutes go by and I am already back up to 5 in the cue

.

Because it's allowed and only a few of the almost 494,000 members whine about it...

Because the members that like copy and paste don't care what the audience wants. They are just passing their time.

For those who don't like the subscribe list cleaning, go into options and turn off subscribing.

While I would be tempted to employ Wacor's suggest to not click on a thread according to the last poster, I find that I miss interesting posts that precede it. Cut and paste is quick on the draw.

I also avoid threads where the last poster is Wacor.

You speak with forked tongue

Try letting them stay in cue for a day. You will be surprised at the amount of times you go back and look and it is nothing but C and P.

And nothing missed. Unless you like lapdog stuff or posts where a person puts a link to something which they claim they do not necessarily support but just do it to allow others to discuss.
