Seasonal flu takes more lives because it's wider spread (at the moment) than H1N1 is. The difference with H1N1 being that it is currently the same strain the world over. That's what "pandemic" means (as opposed to epidemic).

If it should become wider spread than seasonal strains (per country) then by default the death rate will also be higher (per country) than for seasonal.

H1N1 not only is pandemic but it also makes for "pandemonium".

What is conveniently suppressed by the "interested" pro vaccination parties is that in case of the virus mutating to something more dangerous it'll also nicely mutate itself out of the virus range that the current vaccinations cover.

And then we'll all be back to the initial question of how well our bodies cope with flu. But "big pharma" wins any which way.
But the physician's advice is or course sound. Stay out of crowds and if you can't, then limit your time there (that goes for anybody, providing it can be managed). Also waiting in a queue for hours is stress in general and for a lil'un like yours in particular. Stress is a drain on the immune system.

Isn't a little absurd to see these lines and crowds of the most vulnerable groups stuffed into enclosed spaces for hours waiting for a shot that probably won't be available, and if available probably will protect from the wrong strain, but if available and correct wouldn't be necessary if crowns hadn't congregated.
Avoid crowds, wash hands, don't stay in a room with anyone coughing, make lots of chicken soup. Don't listen to federal spokesmen-what they say just confuses everyone.

Thanks for that. I think my aging memory is failing me. I know Liam got shots at 3 months and 6 months and the next ones are due on his 1st birthday.

I can't argue with that. News is mutating into gossip and sensationalism.

You really shouldn't debate yourself. People are beginning to talk!

Also big pharma can go get stuffed. I don't get flus or colds so they aren't getting any of my money.

Correction: the government is spending my tax dollars on big pharma's placebos.

Only fair for it to give something of the lobbying money back.
