The Growing Rift Between Libertarians and Republicans
The Growing Rift Between Libertarians and Republicans.

Quote:
Although a tem*po*rary truce between Lib*er*tar*i*ans and Repub*li*cans has been in effect for the Tea Par*ties, divi*sions over legal*iz*ing mar*i*juana, domes*tic espi*onage, abor*tion, tor*ture, gay mar*riage, the sep*a*ra*tion of church/state, immi*gra*tion, and de-militarization are start*ing to take a toll. The schism between Lib*er*tar*i*ans and Repub*li*cans is widening.
Looks like a comprehensive view from the Progressive POV.

I don't get what is the big deal. This is no surprise. The libertarians have always had quite a few differences from the republicans

Only a Progressive can't comprehend the difference. The proper title would be the growing rift between Libertarians and Conservatives.

How about the growing rift between Democrats and Communists.

And this is the worse thing about the last few Years of your and our Government andwhat is so orrible about it is how it fractured any existing Consnsus. If that is already fragile as it is here it can be horrible. Try explaining to People about what was happening 15-20 Years ago and they look completely phased. I have to say though that through the environment I've known for a very long time I know what that can be like. It's cruel in all its brutality and the results can be very harsh. There are more politicians in the Creative Economy - and even the 'alternative'than any Parliament, Senate or Congress.

OK, I will serve you as an interpreter.

The GOP has failed. It failed when it decided to leave us real conservatives behind and limit themselves to Rush, Ann and Sean.

Therefore, never, ever support the mainstream republican party again. Rather, seek out conservatives, like me, or, pick fights with libertarians or the far, and way out right wing of a party that never existed.

I will help lead you back to the promised land of opportunity, less taxes and less government because I am a real conservative.

From the "progressive POV".

Progressive is a euphamism for modern leftist liberalism. It's no wonder that "4EverPretending" agrees.

Problem is, 4EverPretending, is that this is your kind of Conservative.

No Conservative at all.
Far left liberal Dede Scozzafava in the NY-23 race

Just your type of Republican.

I am beginning to think you are not a conservative. You do not seem to hold any deeply placed values that would indicate me wrong.

All I get from you is that you hate America and what it stands for. You do not appear to like most Americans anyway.

You may be a lost soul conservative. One that grew up when Reagan was popular and got entranced by Rush and his ilk.

But I do not hear conservative values coming from your posts.

I know. There are many jokesters out there posing as conservatives. They really do not share the conservative values that I hold dear to my heart.

I suggest that you only post in the joke thread. You have no conservative values....that's the joke.

And how would you determine conservative values, eh? I've heard about fiscal conservatives but I don't understand where they're coming from..
