Conservatives Find A Way To Blame Obama For Monster Colorado Wildfire

Quote:
While Colorado burns, conservatives have looked for ways to blame it on President Obama.

Some of the same people who have bashed the president as a big government, big spending liberal now say a wildfire that destroyed hundreds of homes in the conservative stronghold of Colorado Springs can be blamed on the president because he has been too slow to spend money to beef up the federal fleet of air tankers.

Romney team agrees with Obama: Individual mandate not a tax
By Jonathan Easley - 07/02/12 10:47 AM ET

Quote:
A spokesman for Mitt Romney said the former Massachusetts governor agrees with President Obama that the individual mandate upheld by the Supreme Court last week is a penalty or a fine, rather than a tax.

In a roundabout exchange on MSNBC’s "Daily Rundown" on Monday, Eric Fehrnstrom was asked if he agrees with Obama that the individual mandate is not a tax.
Quote:
Romney, responding to the court's ruling on Thursday, charged Obama with raising taxes.

It’s a fine line for the Romney campaign to walk and forces them to agree with the dissenting opinion while disagreeing with the reasoning of that dissent.

Boehner pushes repeal, wants health law ‘ripped out by its roots’
Drama.
By Amie Parnes - 07/01/12 11:25 AM ET
VIDEO

House Speaker John Boehner vowed on Sunday to repeal the Affordable Care Act, saying the law, which the Supreme Court ruled as being constitutional this week, should be "ripped out by its roots."

Mr Boehner you really need to do something about those tell-tale blood shot eyes!

NRA sends Democrats a message over Holder vote
The Holy NRA Ruleth?
By Allison Brennan, CNN
updated 7:46 AM EDT, Mon July 2, 2012

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
Analysis: 21 Democrats voted to hold Holder in contempt; 19 received NRA contributions
Democrats in competitive districts may be trying to show independence, expert says
Votes against party lines can be heartfelt but are mostly for political survival, expert says

Washington (CNN) -- When the National Rifle Association decided to keep track of those House members on both sides of the aisle who voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress last week, it was also sending a message to a number of embattled Democratic congressmen seeking re-election in conservative districts in the fall.

The message: Vote right, or we'll let your constituents know.

Though some Democrats say the NRA did little to influence their vote, for a handful of those in the House, the message may have been received loud and clear, experts say.

Now it’s conservatives who suspect a ‘political’ Supreme Court
By Robert Barnes, Published: July 2

Before the Supreme Court ruled on President Obama’s health-care law, the warnings that the public should be alert to a “political decision” all came from the left.

Liberals said that a ruling by the five conservative, Republican-nominated justices to strike down the signature domestic achievement of a Democratic president and a Democratic-controlled Congress would come with an unmistakable partisan sheen.

But with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. joining the four justices nominated by Democratic presidents to uphold the Affordable Care Act, the charges of a political deal have come from the right.

Watching Heads Implode
Finally got some good weather and mood for installing new bumper stickers on my old Blazer. Designed to implode winger heads trying to compute relationship between NRA, Obama/Biden and ACLU - information overload.

It's like the old adage - how to drive a winger nuts - print "See Other Side" on both sides of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. Hand it to a winger and they will be occupied until exhaustion for hours.

Joe Walsh Accuses Tammy Duckworth, Double Amputee, Of Not Being A 'True Hero'
Walsh has never served in the military
The Huffington Post | By Patrick Svitek Posted: 07/03/2012 1:40 pm Updated: 07/03/2012 3:03 pm

Quote:
Duckworth lost both her legs after Iraqi insurgents hit her helicopter with a rocket propelled grenade in 2004. She is now challenging incumbent Walsh in Illinois' re-drawn 8th Congressional district.

"Now I'm running against a woman who, my God, that's all she talks about," said Walsh, a Tea Party freshman. "Our true heroes, it's the last thing in the world they talk about."[/B]

I'm Shocked
Quote:
Mitt Romney's tax returns—and the bevy of offshore tax havens they point to—have already provided lots of fodder for critics, but all generally agree that he's done nothing illegal. "But it is worth asking if it is actually true," writes Nicholas Shaxson in Vanity Fair. "The answer, in fact, isn't straightforward." Shaxson investigated Romney's financial records, and while he didn't find any concrete evidence of wrongdoing, he says Romney "seems comfortable striding into some fuzzy gray zones." For example:
