CNN Exclusive: Mark Williams rejoins Tea Party movement, has new effort

Williams said the effort will be called the "Citizens Reclaiming Constitutional Liberties PAC." He told CNN that paperwork is currently being filed to establish the group and that it should be up and running by August 16. From there, the PAC will proceed in raising seed money and finding candidates it deems conservative enough, Williams said.

"What we're looking to do is channel all of this into something more constructive than standing around at rallies and yelling and just cheerleading," Williams said. "You know the Tea Party thing … the feeling a lot of us had was that the thing had stalled at the cheerleading stage. And we were being bombarded with people asking us, 'Ok, we're worked up, we believe you, we're informed – now what do we do."

It’s typical in the hallowed halls of Congress for politicians to take the rostrum and equivocate, which in parliamentary parlance is a polite way of describing down-right lying. But for House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) to appear on one of the most respected Sunday morning shows in America and double-talk answers to David Gregory’s questions on the effects of the Bush tax cuts, if nothing else, he adds to voters’ distrust of their representatives in Congress. His obvious dodging of questions and giving of partial answers may be seen by many viewers as an insult to their intelligence. Rep. John Boehner may have done more damage to the GOP than Michael Steele, when he invited blogger Andrew Breitbart to be the featured speaker at the RNC fundraiser in a few days.

What happened yesterday morning began after a segment of what former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan said on “Meet the Press” last Sunday was re-aired for Rep, Boehner. When David Gregory asked Mr. Greenspan whether or not the “Bush tax cuts” paid for themselves, he answered emphatically, “They did not.”

Stone & Company Entertainment confirmed to CNN that it is actively shopping a show that will feature Johnston seeking his former almost-mother-in-law's old post as mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

Johnston also told Variety he hopes the show exposes his true character.

"There's no way," Marianne Gingrich tells Esquire Magazine in a profile of the ex-Republican leader posted on the magazine's website Tuesday. "He could have been president. But when you try and change your history too much, and try and recolor it because you don't like the way it was or you want it to be different to prove something new ... you lose touch with who you really are. You lose your way."

"He believes that what he says in public and how he lives don't have to be connected," she tells the magazine. "If you believe that, then yeah, you can run for president."
