Obama's Aunt: US Obligated to Make Me a Citizen

President Barack Obama's aunt, Zeituni Onyango, says she's done nothing wrong by illegally living in the United States for years and is therefore deserving of amnesty.


After stints in a Boston homeless shelter, Onyango was eventually put in public housing and began receiving disability payments. In 2004, an immigration judge ordered her to leave the country, but Onyango remained. However, she noted that her story was less about intentionally flouting federal immigration policy and more about its ineffectiveness.

"I didn't take advantage of the system," Onyango said. "The system took advantage of me."

Thousands Of Street Signs To Be Replaced

MYFOXNY.COM - New York City has started to change all of its street signs to comply with new federal regulations. At $110 per sign, it will also cost taxpayers an estimated $27.6 million.

The regulations say that initial upper-case letters need to be at least 6 inches in height and lower-case letters at least 4.5 in height.
On multi-lane street with speed limits greater than 40 mph, the lettering of initial upper-case letters needs to be 8 inches high and lower-case letters need to be at least 6 inches in height.

She scoffed at the fact that they wanted to have a "food stamp fight," saying that when the government is working to pull the country out of what could have been a depression, more people will need food stamp assistance until they get back on their feet. Additionally, she added, food stamps infuse more money into the economy as people spend them.
