How do i copy the File off my CardReader to my Hard drive?
When i open up my CardReader it has a folder in it with my pictures. How do i make a copy of that folder unto my hard drive. It is a pain to go to each picture to save on my C drive. Thanks!!!

You should be able to drag and drop the entire folder onto your C: drive...

Hi

here's how I do it...

click on the folder to open it so you see a list of all the pictures then click edit and select all... then click edit and cut...then close out completely...now I go to my desktop, where I have two or three shortcuts to picture folders. I click on one of them to open it...then I right click and select new and folder..then I give the new folder a name...then I right click on the new folder and select paste..

not near as complicated as it may sounds and it keeps me from having folders around with names like DCIM or XXX

Use Windows Explorer and not My Computer.

When you get the pictures in the right window go Edit>Select All. Once they are all highlighted you can drag the entire group as a block to any folder on the computer. I prefer to right click on any highlighted image and select “Copy”. Then you can paste into any folder and they will transfer from the card.

I wouldn’t drag the folder as the images are usually 3 deep in the folders and you will eventually have problems finding stuff. Also the main folder usually always has the same name so the computer will try to overwrite the one that is already there if you try to put it in the same folder.

Now is a good time to think about how you are going to organize your images so you can find them.

just curious why...It it so you can sort them one at a time if you like

I dump them into a named folder so I can do a quick slideshow and get rid of the obvious bad ones ...then sort using the browser in Irfan or Photoshop
