Help w/ Kodak EasyShare LS443
I have a Kodak EasyShare LS443. The software is installed and it works great except that every Pic I load into it automatically becomes background Pics. I didn't install the software myself, my sister in law thought she would do me a favor by installing it while I was at work. Although she know alot more about 'puters than I, sometimes she gets in a hurry and gets careless and sloppy. I was wondering if should uninstall the software and install it again. I was hoping there was something that I could click to recifly this problem.

Are you saying it sets every image in sequence as wallpaper on your desktop? Sounds like that has to be a setting.

If you open Windows Explorer while the camera is in the docking station is there a drive letter for it? If there is I think most people avoid the camera software with most cameras and download the pictures directly from the drive letter to a folder on the hard drive. Open the folders until the images are in the right window and go File>Select All. You can either right click on any highlighted file and copy or just drag the entire block to a folder. If you can do that I would avoid uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Get things discombobulated and you can end up asking how to get your pictures at all.

Yeah, every single picture gets set as background. I'm using winXP and I noticed there a kodak pics folder in My Pictures. I was wondering if that had something to do with it. I'm letting the camara charge right now and will follow your suggestion shortly.

I opened the win explorer while the camara was docked. If there's a drive letter for it, I don't see it.

Right click in a blank place on the desktop and go Properties>Desktop. Set a standard Windows wallpaper and see if that doesn’t correct it.

I set my background with a standard wallpaper the way you suggested and nothing happened except the background changed. The kodak pics are still in the list.

sounds like the root of the windows folder was set as the download location for the camera

must be a setting somewhere in the software in preferences or something like that, to change the default location
