Question Saving Toolbars and Window Components as Graphic Images
HELP!

How do you save individual toolbars and window components as graphic images? I'm a teacher, and I want to break down directions for my students, but I can't figure out how to go about it. Thanks!!

Welcome to TSG.

There are several screen capture programs that are free. This one comes highly recommended. You select the capture, drag a box around what you want to capture and then copy it to the clipboard or save it as an image file. http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html

I just use Irfanview for captures. It is also free and has many uses. Open Irfanview on top of what you want to capture. Go Options>Capture. Select “Start” and the previous screen is there. Ctrl+F11 and Irfanview opens with the screen as an image. Just drag a box around what you want and go Edit>Crop selection. You can resize and save it from Irfanview. I use Irfanview as my standard viewer and have it in my drop down quick start, so rather than bother with a screen capture program I find Irfanview almost as fast and easier to get to: www.irfanview.com

I think MWSnap would be better if you have a lot of images to capture.
