DV Camera help !!!
I just received a Sharp Digital Video Camera from a friend. I want to transfer video onto my computer, however I think the only way I can do that is through a IEEE1394 connection. My computer does not have IEEE1394 connection on it. So far I have not been able to find a IEEE1394 card to install in my computer.

Is there another way to transfer video other than the IEEE connection ?? Is there such a thing has a cable or a converter that goes from IEEE1394 to USB, and if so will it work with video transfer ?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim

There are hundreds of Firewire cards. Many also include USB2 if you don’t have it. Start here: http://www.pricewatch.com/1/44/2779-1.htm

It would be cheaper and better than a USB adapter.
