Welcome to TSG.

Some images on the web have limited information in them. This is especially true of GIF files. So there might not be enough information for Windows to make a preview.

Download this image (as jpg) and see if it displays and sends normally: http://www.academicresources.net/ima...hubble-m16.jpg

AOL does strange stuff and I can’t help there at all. If it has to do with one of their filters you are going to have to get an AOL expert for a workaround, and they are rare. You can find the occasional person who learns enough to know they need a standard ISP, but whose teenage daughter threatens suicide if she is removed from her friends on the AOL chat.

I don't understand. When you right clic on it, clic "save picture as"
chose a filename and a location.
Then open it with a picture viewer/editor.

Sometimes IE dosn't save the extention; ie .jpg or gif. So see in the directory if there is no file of the name you choosed without extention. If yes rename it by adding .jpg or gif.
You can type the name with the extention while saving as well.

When you find it in Win Exp, try R clicking on it, and choose "Open With.." and see if it gives you any options, try these and see if any of them work.
