Question dig pics-file not jpeg
help!!! i would like to upload pics saved from dig cam to computer to sites or developing.... the site i tried to sent my pics to only accept jpeg files mine are png (i think)how do i change the file so that i can send my pics...thanks

Open them on your images program and then go to save and pick "save-as" and then pick .jpg

What camera do you have? I have never heard of a camera that downloads files in png. It is a better format than tif and I wish everyone would switch to it, but I wasn’t aware anyone did. If your camera downloads png it might also do raw. Raw is an even better format and your camera software will change it to any file type you want.

When you save the jpg check the quality if it doesn’t automatically ask. Photoshop asks but Irfanview doesn’t. You want the quality at least 8 with 12 being the best. The better the quality the larger the file.
