Can U convert a bmp into jpg

Hi ... i have a bmp photo that i would like to convert it into a jpg style ... Can it be done if so how so ???

some paint programs will do it using the "save as" feature....but you may want to get the freeware program Irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/ ...it will convert most types of images for you, simply open a photo, select "save as" from the edit menu, and convert it to jpg, hope this helps...Rhett
