uhmm has it got to do with the resolution u scanned it at and thus resulting in a huge file which takes forever to e-mail?

If you want it to display at nearly the same size as the original scan at 100 PPI for e-mail. If you want it to display larger use 150PPI. Save it as a JPG of about medium quality.

By default the sanner will scan anything in as a tif wich is an uncompressed file format. I am sure there is a setting to allow for the default to be set as a jpg with the proper compression for emailing.
