Digital camera
Hiya peeps,

I'm looking for a digital camera to buy for my 11 year old daughter for xmas, for up to £130.
We won't be printing many photos, we'll just be putting them on discs, so will a 2.0xmp be sufficient?

I'm thinking of buying this one
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...=59913&Trail=C$cip=8454>C$cip=8455>FC$Brands=Kodak&categoryId=8455

I can get it for £111 from another website.
Is it a good camera? or can someone recommend another one please.

this site has a listing of digital cameras by manufacturers and as well as user comments/opinions on the camera in question...
worth a look at...

here
and others in the kodak series....
here2
but by no means just stop there... there are other entry level models from other manufacturer's as well.....

hope it will help...

Hi Gill

I think this is expensive for a 2Mpix camera. Have you tried www.7dayshop.com . I think they are based in the Channel Islands but certainly tax is reduced and quality and delivery are excellent. Sorry, I haven't time at the mo to suss out stock within your budget. Good luck

Hiya Jim,

I decided not to buy the Kodak camera, and bought a Cannon one instead,
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...804339-2449434

My brother says its a better camera than the kodak one.
Its only £129 from Amazon. On the Dixons website its £199!

Hi Gill
Sorry my post was so late but I'm glad you've got what you wanted. I've been using a point & shoot Fuji for a couple of years around Buxton and am about to move on to an expensive effort. I'm also getting into Photoshop so, lots to do. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your camera.
