Adobe Premiere Problem with Sony Handycam??
When I export video to my Sony DCR-TRV355E Camcorder using a Firewire connection from Premiere the picture occasionally goes jerky.
This seems to happen if there is a sudden movement by the subject although this might just be because this makes it more obvious.
I have captured and output at the same rates 48Khz video and audio and 25dps.
Am I missing a setting on the Camera or in Premiere??

You may be dropping some frames, so when ptt (printing to tape) always turn off all non-vital b/ground progs especially av and firewall.

I don't know premier but I use Video Factory and if I use 'best quality' to render it'll pick up minor imperfections which 'normal' wouldn't. Also try changing firewire card driver (if texas change to windows or visa versa). Also make sure a device isn't kicking in when ptt (like a fan).

Thanks again.
I think I have just fixed it with an upgrade to v6.01.
It seems to have been a known issue with version 6.0.

For what it's worth, I used to use my Ulead Media Studio software to capture my dv footage, but didn't like the output (edges seemed jagged). I now use the windows moviemaker (v.2) and prefer it. I don't find the quality lacking and it's much easier to get up and running. It saves the files as wmv's and Ulead v 7 now can use those.
