viewing photos, what software?
I have a number of photos on discs that I have taken with my digital camera. I put the photos on discs to leave room in my camera software program, Camedia. How do I view the photos? If I do RUN, I get a load of file numbers, (the photos weren't all named), and can only view one at a time. Then I have to go through the whole procedure again for the next pic. It would be better if I had thumbnails to click on. I have Win ME. It might be that I am going about it the wrong way, any ideas? Is there any software I can use to view these discs, preferably with thunbnails? I save them on CD-R discs. Thanks, Gary

You should also be able to view thumbnails using Windows Explorer.

If you don't know how to get to Windows Explorer, there are two way: Start>Programs> sometimes Win Explorer is right in Programs, sometimes hiding in Accessories; or My Computer and double click on your CD drive while the disk is in.

Now, go to the top, click on View, then Thumbnails.

But you have Camedia software and I checked the site ( http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_se...diamaster4.asp ) and your version of the software depends on which camera you have. But there is a note in there that says that Camedia can create albums and thumbnail contact sheets. If you want to use the Camedia software, you will have to open it and tool around in their help section to figure out how to access those, if all else, try File, Open and see what options you get.

Hope this helps,

MBN

OK thanks, that has all been very helpful. Amazingly I have never looked at Windows explorer! I thought I knew all the nooks and crannies of my comp. The free viewing prog is very good too.
