Unhappy Webcam Help Please
PLEASE READ! I need help! *sad face*

Okay. I got a webcam.

PC USB Internet Video Camera (TeleMax WC10)

So yeah, I get this webcam and try to set it up. I followed the instructions perfectly but it kept telling me that I was missing files. I got all the files and fixed it (so I thought). Then it didn't give me anymore errors, but when I ran the VP-EYE software, it didn't come up. And the "AMCAP" and "VIDCAP" would just freeze when I brought them up.

Also, I don't have Imaging on this computer (windows 98) so I can't rely on that to view snapshots. And the indicator light is always on the cam. It's plugged into the USB properly.

After a three days of trying to fix this thing, I gave up. I downloaded Active WebCam. This program is awesome. Everything seemed to be working well. I reinstalled the drivers for the cam. Done and done. But the Active WebCam thing says that my webcam is offline. What the F does that mean?

If someone could help me in ANYway possible, pleeease do! I really, really want to get this thing working!

Thank you sooo much!!!

What version of Windows 98?

Original Windows 98 isn't too flash on USB compatability.

Windows 98 SE is better, but not perfect either.

It's Windows 98 SE I think.

Is there any way I can get it to work?
