Looking For Card Maker Program
Don't know if this exists, but this is what I would like to obtain.

I am looking for a simple greeting card program, that will take the images that I select from my files, and place (print) them on paper they can folded into a card. What I mean is the program places the image I want on the front of the card, then the text I want in the inside, Etc...

I know Print Artist, Hallmark, Etc all do that, and allow you to import images from your files, but I don't need the pre-loaded images, and all of the other bulk that comes with these type of programs. Just a program to assist me in positioning MY images on the paper so the paper can be folded into a card.

Hope this makes some sense

Any program suggestions ?

TIA

Hi Tia,

I use PrintMaster Platinum but it does have its own images and templates and you can import as well.

I understand what you're saying though that you want to use your own photos and don't need the ones provided with the program.

It's pretty simple to just use Word since I've found that most of these card programs and even the Avery products never set the images in the proper place anyway and you have to play around with them.

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for but it can be done this way.

I think if you do a google search you may find some template programs.

Hi and thanks.

I've looked over Word a bit. Is there an actual greeting card template included, or do I have to just figure out where, and how to position the images into Word?

I don't think there are any card templates in Word but there are some label options that come pretty close that you could try.

I've been making single fold cards in Word by playing around with the way it fits on the page. I do a trial run that I've marked to see how it will come out of my printer so that when I put it back in to add text it will print in the right place.

I know this is a backwards way of doing it though and it is time consuming. I even usually have to invert the text (flip it) so that it prints in the right place but it's become an art with me.

I forgot to mention that the program PrintMaster has two install options, a full install and a partial, which only installs certain components and takes up less space on the hard drive.

Hope this helps.

OK, thanks again.

I did check out PrintMaster last night. It's pretty nice program with lots of features.

I think I'll play with Word. Once I get it where I can place the images, and revert what I need from memory, I think that will do the trick.

Take-care.
