trouble installing USB driver
I got a Sony Cyber-shot digital camera for Xmas. When I tried to install the the USB driver, I got the following error message:

"following error occurred on file c:\windows\inf\sony90f9.rra
directory or file cannot be created"

My guess is that this probably has something to with the fact that I also cannot get my computer to communicate with the camera. When I connect the cable between the two, a download box saying "updating hardware information database" appears. Trouble is, it never updates anything because the download bar never gets beyond 0%. When I hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE, it tells me the program is not responding.

Does anybody have any ideas how to fix these problems? Failing that, can I still have my photos on the digital camera developed at a regular photo processing center?

This is really frustrating because my mother paid a lot of money for this camera, and I can't get the damned thing to do what it's supposed to do.

Thanks!

cdiaz,
what OS are you running and what model Cyber-Shot have you got?

Check here
