loading photoshop CS v8
I have just bought Adobe Photoshop CS V.8 retail and I already have Photoshop 7. I have 7 on my C drive. I would like to put version 8 on my D drive. I want to do this incase I dont like V.8 and so I can continue to practice on 7. However, I am also curious what version 8 is like and as it is the full programme, I wondered if I could run them both on different drives at the same time. If so, how can I do this? I also need to put version 8 on my other drive as my C drive is almost full. Thanks

Hi dmcd

I have v7 installed on D:/ and CS installed on F:/ they work fine independently, but not together... If I have CS open and minimized then try to start v7 it just activates CS, and visa versa.

The two are quite similar...A few added features to CS aimed at digital photography. I like the built in RAW file converter in v7...It means I can process the raw files my DSLR produces without having to use multiple programs...very handy

here's a link to read about the new features if you have seen it

I just upgraded our studio network to Photoshop CS and we are loving it... great upgrade...

So unless you are really attached to a certain part of v7, I'd recommend that you just uninstall 7 and run with CS! It has everything you need!

Happy Photoshop-ing!!! shutter
