Picture Viewer vrs .jpg
I received an email with a jpb picture attachment.
I've always used .jpg in the past but now when I click the attachment to view the picture I get a popup window titled 'Picture Viewer'...
and it states:
'Could not draw this picture. It may not be recognized by Quick Time for Windows or you may be low on memory.'
I am not low on memory. I have Quick Time but cannot remember when it was last used.
Can someone please help me with this situation?
Thanks in advance

According to everything I can find, There is no such thing.
Try changing it to .jpg and see if it opens. G & B are close on the keyboard...........easy typo.

Thanks, Longhair...
What can I say, I can repeat it a dozen times and get the same thing. How do I change it to .jpg and what is the connection to the letters G & B

Save the .jpb where you can find it with windows explorer. Then right click on it (under windows explorer) and select rename.

Give it a name with a .jpg extension, and ignore any warnings you might get.

Then try opening it.

The G&B references should be clear, .JPG and .JPB - the typo between the G & B letters - the keys are very close, easy to do.

I think what Longhair meant was just rename the file using the extension .jpg. Could it be that the person who sent this just typed it wrong and meant to type .jpg but as the B key is close to the G key, they mistyped...?

MBN

To rename it, right-click, Save As..., then give it a name that ends with .jpg. In Windows Explorer, right click, click Rename, then just change the last three letters to jpg.
