Question Photos won't download/program won't open
Don't know if anyone will be able to help with this one, as it's quite specific to just what I have, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

IBM PC, Windows 98, Fujifilm digital FinePix 1400 zoom camera, Exif Launcher software program.

I've never had a problem in the past. Today I plugged the USB cord into the camera as usual and turned the camera on to where the blank screen says "USB" (like I always do). Nothing happens. The Exif Launcher program has always opened up in the past, but nothing happens now.

I am connected to the USB port. I checked in System Device Manager, and it shows I do have Universal Serial Bus Controller listed.

Can anyone offer me help? Thanks!
Sue

Buck, I hate to sound dumb, but can you explain what you mean by that? I don't know how to check what you are asking me.

Thanks,
Sue

What is the G?
It is not going to say "camera"
It will show as a removable drive with it's own letter.

The G drive is where my CD's go in. I don't see anything to do with a camera.

If G is your CDrom drive then the computer is not recognizing the camera.

I agree with LONGHAIR...

couple of simple things...

Is the camera turn on...
Is the command dial turned to the proper setting for transfer...
Do you have another device you can try in the USB port to see if it is working correctly...

Don't know why, but today when I plugged in the camera, the program opened up so that I could download the pictures. But afterwards, my computer crashed and I had to restart it. Weird things happening here.

Thanks for the help,
Sue
