Actually you don't have a "graphics card" in the true sense.

I believe what you have is "on-board" graphics that is integrated into the motherboard chipset.

Its very likely that is the problem with video intensive games, on-board video usually will not hack the pace. Its a lot cheaper, and is therefore very common.

Just A, what make of PC including model number do you have? If you'd like to post the hardware specs from Belarc we can give you some upgrade ideas.
You also mentioned in anothewr post that your running Win 2000. While you can use that as a gaming OS it can sometimes take some tweaking to get games to run properly. Win 2000 was designed more for network/server use & not for gaming.
So give us your system specs & we'll see what you can do.

Is the computer a custom built one or a brand name.

If a brand name, what make and model?

The listing can't tell us that.

Well, if its a "brand name" it will have Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Packard Bell or similar name on it. Very plain and clear on the front.

Where did you buy it in NZ? Thats always a clue.

Yes i brought it here,it has no brand name on it..the only thing i have is it was made by a company called Syntech.I hunted down the box it came in and no such luck.So yes i guess it was just put together.

Maybe i should just contact them about my updates.

Thank you for your time.

Thats probably the quickest way.
http://www.syntech.co.nz

Failing that you need to open up the box and examine the motherboard to determine what make and model it is.
