file conversion problems
Hello, i just bought myself a Archos jukebox multimedia 20, and i've been trying to get video on it. I've done everything i can, i thoroughly read the manual, and it says it can play back MPEG4 simple profile video files in AVI format, fine, i uploaded the files on the player, and i get audio, but no video, i figured i screwed up somewhere, and the files were wrong, the file type on the player says they are .avi, and my computer just says they are windows media player files, or just 'video clip'. i downloaded VirtualDub, and tried to convert the files to proper format, and i got the following message:

couldn't locate decompressor for format DIV3 (microsoft highspeed mpeg4 V3 [hack: DivX low-motion])
Virtualdub requres a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable.

i called the people at archos, and their tech support didn't do anything, the guy had no clue. so i guess your my last hope. if you get time (doubtful as i have barely any myself) i'd really appreciate the help.

If it's mpeg4 it's probably DivX so you need the player to view http://www.divx.com/divx/ or this link gives lots of codecs http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...c_Pack_224.htm
