Question Very slow printing
My brother has a Lexmark printer which is connected via USB. It takes about 2 minutes to print a page of text. I have a HP printer. It takes mine about 15 seconds to print a page of text. I'm connected via the parallel port. Is the USB port the reason for the slow printing speed? Appreciate any tips/ideas as to the cause. Thx!

It could just be the setting for default printing. 2 mins is not unusual for "best" setting. Try draft.

And no, USB will not likely be a reason. The parallel or USB can transfer data 100's of times faster than the printer can use it. USB would be faster than parallel, but its not material
