Video to computer
Ok please try and stay with me here. I have a video camera that is HI8 which has no connections for me to hook into the computer other then the normal audio/video cable. My question is what are my options as far as getting this video into the computer so I can do my editing and adding music and such to the videos ?

Do I need to buy a video card that has the plugs for my audio/video ? I know of no other way to be able to do this. Someone mentioned that there is some type of box that I can hook my camera to and then the box connects to the computer via a usb connection. Help me out here guys

thanks

Cobra

You need a video card that has video capture capabilities. Are you sure you don't have one? Many video cards have video capture capabilities and come with adapters for the RCA audio/video cables to hook into the video card.
