Using the Paint Program
Hello all,
I have been using a computer for about six years, but am SO illiterate as to how to use the many programs available.
I am now trying to use the Paint Program for the purpose of making little affirmations to put on my dashboard, which will reflect onto the inside of my windshield. To do this I need to have the background of the messages be in black and the text in white (not in a white box), AND the text has to be reversed so that it shows up in the right orientation when reflected in the windshield. This is a way of making subliminal suggestions to onesself. Is this possible with the Paint program? Or must I get some other program? Or is there another program included with either Word or the XP basic that will work for this. So far I have succeeded only in making a black background, cant figure out how to get the white text on it (without making a white box around black text) or how to reverse the writing. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Kathryn

Open your program, fill your page with black (in the bottom there's the colors)/change your color with white/ enter your text/select your text with the selection tool -the one in the top-right-corner/-right click/select rotate horizontal/ you are done.
Good luck

After you get your text in Paint:
Image>Invert colors
Image>Flip/Rotate. Check “Horizontal” and OK.

I did this in Paint:

Hi,
That is EXACTLY what I want to do. I did what you suggest, but when I go to type text nothing appears in the black screen. How do I get the text to show up white like you did, and how do I cause the text to be large as you have done?
Thanks.

Hi Uly7,
Thanks for the step-by-step. I almost have it, but when I went to print out what I had typed it printed 1/4 of it on each of 4 pages, so the whole thing wasnt on one page. Any idea of how to make it print all on one page. I had changed the 'attributes' to 8.5 X 11. I appreciate your attention to my problem.
Thank you so much.
