software to view webcam AUDIO & video on local pc
I had a Philips webcam that came with s/w that allowed me to view the audio & video of the webcam on my local pc. After 3 years that webcam died and I purchased a GE webcam with usb audio & video. However the supplied s/w doesn't allow me to "listen" to the webcam (I can record the audio, it's there). I tried numerous programs and found 1 that worked (Active Webcam) however that s/w averages 95% of my CPU (AMD 2000+). My Philips s/w avg'd 8% and VIDCAP32 also only uses 8% (but doesn't provide audio). Is there any s/w out there that will allow me to monitor my upstairs when I downstairs without using all of my CPU?
