Digital Stills from camcorder
My son plays alot of sports and I am tired of using my digital camera to try to catch action shots. Are there any camcorders that allow you to take a movie a pick out a frame to turn into a jpg with the same quality as a digital camera? If they can, what do I look for to get the best quality image.

Thanks
Alan

No--first of all many camcorders will also capture stills. If you want to capture a still from the actual video tape--you have to bring it into an NLE and then capture the frame you want. The quality is not nearly as good but it will suffice.
