What are you wanting to be able to do with the photo software?

Olympus cameras usually come with camedia if you purchased it new. I never used that software when I bought my last camera.

If you are wanting to just resize and adjust the color levels and so forth I recommend vueprint if you can find an evaluation copy online because it is very quick and not a resource hog. To quickly manuver through your folder of photos just hit the space bar or the backspace key once the first photo is open in the program. To change the size of the photo press Z or to save the picture press V. I use it daily for quick resizing of photos for emailing and so forth.

If you are looking for a really detailed program to purchase for photos.. depending on your skill level... I like Adobe photoshop but it is a more advanced user program and may be too difficult for a beginner to photo editing. There are many others out there like microsoft picture it and so forth.

Here is a link to get vueprint. You can use it without getting a serial but it says there is a watermark on the file .. I have not see this on mine. I purchased the serial to it because it was not all that expensive.

croping photos is as easy as dragging your mouse across the picture. A box will grow as soon as you put the mouse over the picture and drag. When you let go of the mouse button the picture crops. If you mess up hit the backspace key and do it again. then hit v to save.

I saw someone posted something about infranview? something like that in another post and it may be a free program. I have not worked with that one so I am not sure how easy it is.
