Visioneer PaperPort software...
Visioneer One Touch 5800

The software that came with this scanner is PaperPort Deluxe 7.0

Is there ANY other 3rd party software available that can be used with this Visioneer scanner in place of the 57.2MB PaperPort Deluxe software that came with it?

Thanks...

I don’t think it needs anything but the twain driver. It probably installed separately. If it didn’t, uninstall everything and just install the driver: http://visioneer.com/support/flatbed/5800downloads.asp

When you import into Paperport it opens the One Touch twain driver for the scan. You can scan directly to file or import into programs like the freeware Irfanview just with the One Touch twain driver. You can even scan directly to Word if you installed the M$ editor from the Word or Office CD.

Look under Start>Programs for Visioneer or One Touch. It is probably a separate entry. If it is there you can do without the Paperport.
