Question Bypasing Sony Infolitium Battery Check
I am trying to use an old Sony Mini DV Camera as a rear view camera for my caravan. I have purchased a 1500mA 12v to 4.5 volt adapter, and wired it into the 'fake' battery pack that normally comes off the AC pack.
However, the camera displays ' For Sony InfoLitium System only' and shuts down!! I checked the output from the AC adapter and it seemed that the 4.5 volts was supplied to the positive wire and the Extra wire for the InfoLitium System, so I shorted that contact to Positive, but got the same result! Anybody out there got an idea how I can fool the camera into letting me do what I want?????
