Cannot view some jpg. images...help!!!
I recently, well over the past 2 or 3 months had about 5 jpg images sent to me, now up until last night I could open them up as they were .jpg images. But tonight these particular file's where they usually show a thumb print of the image show a little blue and white box with 6 diferent coloured squares in them and no particular file name..I tried to open them up, but a box came up telling me this particualr file could not be opened , do i want to go online to find the source of this file.....what is going on....I'm well baffled

All other image files are okay by the way! The other strange thing is one of these pictures I cannot use anymore is still displayed as a desktop wallpaper under Internet Explorer Wallpaper???

thanks to anyone who can help me..xxx

can you still open your pictures?
If you can, save them with a different name, save them in a CD, and you should be OK. For your wallpaper, look in (assuming you are using windows)
C:\Windows\Web\wallpaper, and there is the folder where Windows store the wallpaper.
Good luck

I should mention that every time that you install a new image program, it will automatically try to be your default image viewer, or a new browser. Check what new programs have you installed recently, and go to the web and see what kind of format your pictures are now.
Good luck

Howdy

Open one of them then hold the shift key down and right click..then select open with..choose the program you want to use and click OK...If you want to make the change permanent put a check in the box "always use this program"
before you click OK
