what email program are you using?

In Outlook, you can open the mail and then go to File and Save attachments, then select the attachments (all will be selected by default), then Click on Ok, which will open a browser window to allow you to choose where on your hard drive to save them

Right clicking on the pix, menu comes up, saying "save pix as what" mine goes to a folder named my pictures and everything is straight forward from there.
