Photoshop 6 cursor disappears over image
I'm working on a Powerbook with OS x.3 Jaguar, classic mode 9.2.
When working in Photoshop 6 in classic mode, the cursor (tools), disappear over the image, but then reappears outside the image. However, the move tool and the cropping tool act normal.

I've trashed the Photoshop prefs, reset the tools, and re-installed the software. Is there something else I can try to solve this perplexing problem?

Thanks, Mindy

is it just certain tools that you can't see? eg pen tool or paintbrush? Your paintbrush size might just be so small (eg 1 pixel) and your image so large that you just can't see it, unless you're zoomed in of course. Try upping the size of the tool if so.

hmmm.....I thought they all did this. Seriously, go to preferences and see if your Display and Cursors are set to the standard, precise or brush size. Each one would give you a different view.

Cursor Disappears in Photoshop 6
I re-checked my Display and Cursors Preferences; Painting cursors are set to Brush size; and Other Cursors are set to Standard. The cursor does appear outside the image (it is not set too small to see), but disappears when I move across the image, then reappears once again outside the image. This happens with about half the tools (approx. 21 out of the 38 tool selections).

I am using the Kensington Iridio Mouse, and I'm wondering if the problem may be associated with the software. I just e-mailed Kensington about this, and hopefully will hear something early next week.

If anyone has heard about this problem, please let me know...thanks, mindy
