Unhappy MVI pictures unable to view
hi all,
ive just returned off holiday and took some pictures and video footage using my canon powershot a70.i can view the pictures ok but the video footage i cant access saying that windows media player doesnt support the file or something like that .do i have to download a different player to access these video clips or could i still run them through windows media player.any advice is very welcome

I think your camera requires quicktime to play movies. Have a look at the software that came with the camera.

ok when i try and view the video it says :- wmplayer.exe is not a valid win 32 application.
is there a way i can use quicktime as a default instead of wmp?

Do you have Quicktime installed?

Do they play with Quicktime?

If they do, you should be able to associate the files so they open with Quicktime

hold the shift key down and right click on one of them, select open with scroll to the program you want and put a check in Always use...

or open windows explorer click tools then folder options then file types and make the change there
