Batch functionality in Photoshop CS
Hi everybody,
I have a whole bunch of files that I want to remane. In Photoshop (CS version) I have the possibility to Automate & use the Batch functionality. BUT, I do not seem to find the way to do what I want. I want all the pictures to disregard the present file name, and to have a specific prefix, then a 3 digit serial number followed by the extension. My problem is that I am unable to remove the present file name and to insert the specific prefix.
Can somebody help me solve this problem
Thanks
Hrisula

Personally I would use Irfanview for batch renames like that

rocket science degree not needed...

Photoshop CS
In Photoshop CS go to your file browser, open your folder, in your file browser window, go to automate\batch rename\ choose your settings, done.

Yes Uly7, but I can't insert a specific prefix that is not in the list. For ex. all the files are named P8263453.psd, P8263454.psd, P8263455.psd etc I want them renamed 2004-07-Italy001.psd, 2004-07-Italy002.psd, 2004-07-Italy003.psd etc
The Batch gives me the opportunity to make the 001.psd part, but it does not give me the possibility to insert the prefix 2004-07-Italy Is there a way in photoshop to do this?

Batch
Look for "Batch rename" once there, you choose your name, is the first choice.
