Paste type layer
It seems that my head is turning into jelly.....

I am trying to copy a layer containing just type and paste it into another picture (and keep it editable), in the exact same location, Needless to say I have no success.
How can one do this in Photoshop?

Thanks again

Don't paste it, drag it from the payers pallette into the other picture.

I am only working with psd files.
Yes, dragging works fine, but the problem is how can I make it go to the exact same location as the original layer. Right now it just goes wherever my cursor points.
Is there a way to secure the location?
Thanks for the tip though

Don't change the text layer, change the other image, then, go file\save as\ give a new name, delete the leyers that you don't need, done.

That's an idea!!! I think that is the simplest way, thanks for suggesting it,
The theoretical question though remains: is there a way in Photoshop to place objects in specific position?

I checked my tutorials, and could not find anything on this subject. Can anybody give me some clues?
Thanks

I don't think that Photoshop has anything like that.
GoLive has a feature that allow you to position objects where you need them, but Photoshop don't.

I was working in a PSD as well. You can also go into the original layer properties and look at the origanla texts X Y coordinates and edit the dragged to image to match.
