Arrow PAL TO VHSC tapes, how to convert
Hello I have some pal (Europe) family videos that I want as VHSC (American).. Does anyone know where and how to get this done?

You need to find a local company that does these conversions.

There is one handy here, but as its in New Zealand that might be a bit far away.

I assume the PAL's are analog? FIrst thing you need to do is to convert them to digital--this is done via a pass through device like a Canopus card. Once digitized, you can bring that footage into a program like Vegas Video, Premiere Pro----etc. The next step is to print to tape using a NTSC templete and of course you need a VHSC deck to record on. Thats it--I recently did it myself.

That looks like it. The one I'm thinking of is the ADVC 110--go check it out on their site. By the way, if you own a DV camcorder (dv) you might not need to use the ADVC to convert with. Many DV camcorders support pass through conversion.
