PhotoShop 7.0.1 problem!
Awhile back, I made my PC only open *.PSD files with the program ACDSee. But recently, I changed my PC back to open *.PSD files with Photoshop 7.0.1.
Now when I changed it back, all the icons for *.psd files changed to notepad icons. And when I go to open any *.psd file, it opens Photoshop, but not the image. All the property settings seem to be correct. I've uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop and put all updates on. Any suggestions on why it won't open the image?

I can see the file extensions that say *.PSD, but they all look like notepad icons. The operating system I am using is Windows 2000. Not to sure what OP means though?

Hola Rock O
Open Phtoshop, open any picture, do anything with it, then save it in the same folder where the other psd files are, then close it. Now open it.
Can you open this file?
If you can, it means that your other files had been corrupted.
What you can do is to try to open them with a different program like Acrobat, Illustrator, IrfanView (?) then, save it again with a different name, and sometimes it work.
Why they get corrupted?
I don't know, and in the Adobe forums, there's no answer.
Good luck

ACDSee extensions
Hi Rock,
I had the same problem as I use both programs as well. I posted the question to ACDSee who had the answer. Ask them. It has something to do with re-associations in the "Tools/Plug-ins settings in ACDSee and the preferences settings in Photoshop (Maximize file capabilities) .... if I remember correctly. By the way, they can probably answer your question through NAPP as well.
