Question Jpgs on DVD PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!
I do not understand why MY DVD player will show digital pics from my digital camera without issue, but will not show jpgs from pictures that I have scanned in using my scanner. I am trying to scan old pics onto a cd to watch on my DVD

Very Frustrated here.

You don't say what you are 'scanning' for. There has to be software that either is told or recognizes that it is scanning a photo or picture, then it has to save it in jpeg format. Are you doing that?

If the computer recognizes that you've save jpegs, then burning them onto CD's as data should result in saved jpegs.

There are also formatting issues. Does your DVD player recognize the format of the CD you are putting in. CDs and DVDs come in a bewildering array of formats. Not all players recognize all formats. Then there is single session versus multi session, the list goes on...

You need to explain more just exactly what you're trying to do, what you're doing and what is and isn't behaving as you expect.

More information
Whe I take pictures with my digital camera I use finepix viewer to save them on my hard drive and then burn them onto a cd-r disc. This works fine.

When I scan photos into photoshop and then save them as a jpeg and then burn them onto a CD-R, my DVD player does not recognize them and shows me red question marks where each thumbnail shoudl be. That said, I have no trouble viewing them on my computer so I know they are on the disc.

Am I wrong to assume that burning scanned JPGS is the same as burning jpgs from a digital camera?

I have a HP presicion pro scanner and software. I scan directly into photoshop. The photos scan as gifs and I change them to jpegs.
