I use proshow gold and like it. It's not cheap but it has lots of transition effects and you can use various music in each show.

Hi Joe,
I can tell you which not to use, its Ulead CD & DVD Picture Show 3.
I bought it, it would not burn the DVDs, the themes were missing, when I contacted Ulead this is just part of their many useless replies.

"We are sorry to inform you that there have been cases with also having similar problems. We are still looking at this problem since this is not a general error that has been reported by our Research and Development department. Apparently, this issue has been reported by some customers while some customers had no problems with this matter. So we are still looking on the true nature of the cause of the problem"

A further email read..

"Sorry for the inconvenience. But we do not have a solution for your mentioned problem at the moment. And since you are using the latest version already, we cannot recommend or replace you with an upgrade"

Joe, be warned

Using HP Memories Disc Creator I make discs with photos and music for my family on CDs. Can I use DVD +/- R 4.7 gb to make discs with much greater playing time? Also, I tried to make a long playing disc of Beatle tunes for my wife but apparently it can not be down on DVD +/- R. Is this a factual statement? I am only an intermediate computer user and have soooooo much to learn.

I like InterVideo's WinDVD Creator for putting photos on CD. Don't have a DVD burner, so haven't tried DVDs with it yet, but it does interface with DVD writers to burn DVDs. It's not cheap either, but it's a good program. I notice it comes bundled on new Compaqs and maybe new HPs, too.

Thumbs up Memory Disc Creator
Sally, I have a HP and it has the Memory Disc Creator. I have made quite a few discs with photos and music in the background. I guess the way to find out if it works is just to try it. Hate to waste a DVD disc.

Thanks for the reply
Marty
