Scanning photos from all in one
Hello,
I wonder if someone can advise me. I have an 'all-in-one' printer and scanner for my laptop. I use a canon BCJ-80 and by changing the ink cartridge to a scan cartridge, I can scan photos etc. The problem is, the software only allows me to scan one picture at a time even though I load up the 'printer' with 20 photos. For example I click SCAN, then SAVE-AS, then CLEAR, then loop back to SCAN again. This is very tedious and would help immensly if I could find some software that will LOOP automatically and cope with all the loaded photos at one press of START. Can anyone suggest any software ? It doesn't need to be very clever, or expensive, in fact the more basic the better.

pawitter - welcome to TSG! Curious,,, did you mean the Canon BJC-80? Just wanted to make sure. From what I've seen/recall, this is an older model, right? [Had looked at similar models sometime ago, but decided against 'em]. But, do have to say sorry, as I've not been able to find much help at all regarding your question. What OS, scanning software, and other details of your computer system can you share? Make, model, etc. Thanks!

But,,, my guess is that you actually need someone to either (a) write a new code, or (b) be able to "hack" into what ever software you are currently using to scan with and modify it, to be able to do this "loop" feature you desire. That ain't me... sorry! I know just enough of writing computer languages to be dangerous, very very dangerous... One issue I see is that the LOOP "code" would have to automatically perform the SAVE-AS function, give the image a name, store it where it thinks you want it, etc... right?
