printing file names on photos
How do I print the file names associated with files. I would like the names to print on the photo's i.e. mynewshirt.jpeg ? It will be for an informal business presentation. I use Windows XP and store files in My Pictures.

Any help is appreciated.

blahsan, do you mean how to change the filenames or write on the picture that the name shows? I use either "Paint" to enter text, or "Paint Shop Pro" or any of the other Photo programs and use the _textbox_ to enter text. To change the file's name so that I recognize it in Explorer, rightclick and rename them.

This will print the full filename or any other information contained in the EXIF: http://www.braeburn.co.uk/jp.htm It has a free evaluation and seems cheap enough. If it is a one time project the free evaluation should do the job, and if you intend doing it on a regular basis the price is right.

For just a few images the text function of almost any image editor works well. It is probably the best way to go if you don’t have hundreds of images to label since you can put the text anywhere you want on the image in a contrasting color to whatever it is on.
