CAN I Capture Streaming video on the internet?
I have a dvd burner, and some pretty good video editing software, I would like to capture or burn dvd's from streaming video over the internet, is there a way I can capture streaming video (turn it into a mpeg file on my computer) so I can burn dvd's with it? I have no idea if you can and if you can, how.
Thanks

Try HInetRecorder. I used it once a while ago, but never really took the time to play with it. I think its supposed to save streaming stuff.

Still Having Problem recording with Hi-Net Recorder.
Ok, I downloaded Hi-Net Recorder, and It worked, I made 2 video files from the frontline(pbs) website that has all those documentary's, but I tried to record from this website:

http://stream2.capitalinteractive.co..._osmand.hi.wmv

This is one video file that I was trying to record so that I may burn it on to a DVD. But every time I loaded it this came up:

HiNetRecorder has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

But other websites have been fine, does this website have some special protection that disables Hi-Net Recorder from working, and if so is there another program that is better that will bypass this.
Thanks

That link doesn't work. Access denied. If the film is copyrighted then maybe you're not allowed to save it, I don't know I can't check.
After viewing the film have you looked in your temp internet folders? Nearly all the streaming video I watch is there after the viewing, if it's not copyrighted. Empty your temp internet folders first - they get full fast so it helps for easier finding, view the video, then go back to the folder, switch to 'details' view and look for the big files with your media player icon.
