Lightbulb Problems editing Video
Hi,

I am trying to transfer VHS tapes to DVDs. I downloaded the Video via USB to my Hard drive. I have Sonic MyDVD 5.2 and I am trying to create scenes, so that I can skip through the DVD. It takes forever to do this and I don't know why?? If I pause the Video and click 'Mark Scene', it will take about 20 mins before the Video will start moving along again, so that I can mark the next scene. I have a 1.5 GHz processor, 512 Mb 2100 DDR RAM. Is it my hardware or is it the Sonic software?? Please let me know.

I think it's because you're working with an mpeg which is very slow. If you were to render it 1st to avi working with it would be much quicker.

You can use this free dv editor to render to avi. http://www.webattack.com/get/zweistein.shtml Or another issue could be your drives aren't set to DMA.

Thanks for replying Rache! Do I need to go into my BIOS to set my drive to DMA??

Thanks,
