All I get is a little square instead of the document
I went to GuitarCenter dot com and clicked to download a rebate form. The screen that appeared was white, and a little square was in the upper left
corner. How can I print out a rebate form if I can't even see it?

I have seen this effect at other times when I was sent a picture by email.
I never did get to see those pictures, either.

The rebates are probably a .pdf file.

Do you have Adobe Reader installed?

Right, the page has the suffix ".pdf" and it is a rich-text
document.

Yes, Adobe reader is one of the programs on my C drive.
There is a shortcut on the desktop. I am not sure how
it could be used to view a web page.

I have tried to access this page with Yahoo, Internet
explorer, and Outlook Express, all with HTML unblocked.
But when I get to that page, there is no difference.

Would I launch Adobe Acrobat reader and try to open
that file by browsing? I thought that technique was
limited to what is on hard disk or removable media.

How come there is no way to choose how to view the page
(i.e. with little square showing or viewing what is there)?
I guess that is not as important as "How can I print the
rebate form using the Adobe reader?"

Thanks for any help you might offer. I guess this is
something I should know how to do already. I don't.

Ps the offer is at guitarcenterdotcomslashrebateslash
audiotechnica underline headphdotpdf.

Just looked at the site.

When you get to the link that you click on to download the .pdf document, do not left click it.

Right-click it and shoose "save target". It should ask you for a location, so save it where you know where to find it.

When it is downloaded and saved, open it in Adobe reader.

I would reinstall Adobe to fix the main problem though, version 7 is out and much better than previous ones.

Thanks. I printed out the form and sent it in. Now another problem with the same scenario. I went to Mulder’s picture,
"Tear for America (Great Picture!)" at:

http://forums.techguy.org/t53290.html

and got the little white square with a red X in it. Right clicking on it gave a drop-down menu with everything greyed out except . . .
Show picture
Go to My Pictures
Copy
Add to Favorites
Add animation to Incredimail Style Box, and
Properties
(http://www.pgm-law.com/pics/Tear.jpg)
(unable to open that URL)

HOW CAN I VIEW MULDER’S PICTURE?

(No, "Show picture" returned me to the same display, white box with red X, and none of the other selections gave me anything good, either)

Looks like the image has been removed from the server or the server is down, as all I get is the white square with an x as well. That link you give is also not available, so it looks like that server is down.

So nothing is wrong with your system.

Gratitude.
But what about the Save target as... being grayed out?
Was that because it knew it couldn't get there anyway?

I should hope the "save target as" was greyed out, as the was no source in the first place!
