Solved: Where to safely buy a digital camera on the internet?
Hi All,

I'd like to buy a Nikon Coolpix 4800 on the internet. The Google search comes up with a lot of results. But I've never bought anything on the internet and don't know which ones are honest dealers. Can anyone recommend?

Thanks

Might pay to mention what country you are in, as a good dealer in the UK could be an expensive option for someone in Australia as an example.

Thank you buck52, but have you heard of Buydig.com? Are they good?

Buydig is an excellent vendor. I’ve bought from them with no problems. You can also trust Butterfly, who has a slightly cheaper delivered price on the camera. I ordered a Nikon 3700 for my daughter last month from Butterfly. With the rebate it was only $130 delivered, and it turned out to be a nice little camera. Only 3Mp though.

I usually just do a Shopping.com search and pick the cheapest trusted store or a least one with a lot of ratings and at least 4 stars. http://shopping.com/xPC-Coolpix_4800~S-P~OR-0

Thank you all so very much. I am going to give online shopping a try. Hope it will turn out to be a happy experience. And most of all, I hope what I get will be a new, not a used camera.

Best regards to you all who have helped me make this milestone decision.
